Late19th Century well figured Australian Cedar Wardrobe with trade label: Alex Norton Cabinet Maker 64 Hunter Street Sydney.

 

Large mirror door Robe flanked by recessed panels with 3 drawers beneath; plenty of hanging space above. In repolished condition but still showing good patination and with some repairs, this impressive piece is of excellent quality and comes from Norton's workshop, who previously worked for Sydney cabinetmakers Lenehan and Raphael in the mid 1900's, before setting up on his own.

 

Full cedar throughout with original knobs and glass.
