A handsome Australian Cedar Sideboard or Chiffonier with carved backboard shaped with scrolls, a shelf supported by turned columns, over a moulded drawer front, and two sheild panelled doors flanked by half turned columns and on bun feet.

 

Circa 1840, with revived and waxed finish, the bookmatched flame cedar doors show this iconic Australian peice in full glory and the high, carved backboard sets it apart from more utilitarian peices from that period.
