This chest is in virtually original condition, retains most of its original finish and apart from some minor repairs is in good condition. 

The cedar timber is dense, well figured and weighty.

I have left the finish undisturbed and the drawer runners as is; restoration work is an option of course- some collectors may not wish to alter this fine piece of Australian history.
