A rare and beautiful complete set of map weights in their original box. Of maritime origin, the housing is Indian teak or padouk and inlaid with rosewood and boxwood. The nine individual lead weights are each encased in mahogany, and were used to secure large maps on a campaign table.
British Colonial, early 19th century.
